Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These terms apply to all Umrah, Hajj, and pilgrimage travel services booked through Al-Umrah Travel for customers in Canada. When you enquire, pay a deposit, or confirm a booking, you agree to these conditions.

We book on your behalf with airlines, hotels, transport companies, and other suppliers. Their own terms also apply to your trip.

Bookings & Contracts

Your booking becomes binding once we confirm it in writing (by email or booking confirmation) and we have received any deposit due.

Passenger names must match passports exactly. We cannot cover extra costs caused by wrong names, dates of birth, or passport details.

• Every traveller needs a valid passport and must meet Saudi entry rules at the time of travel
• Places are held only after written confirmation from our team
• Changes may carry supplier fees plus our admin charge where applicable
• Some group Umrah packages need a minimum number of travellers. We will tell you if that applies

Payments & Deposits

Your invoice or booking confirmation shows payment dates, accepted methods, and any instalment plan we have agreed with you. Unless we agree otherwise, the balance is due by the date on your invoice.

If the balance is not paid on time, your booking may be cancelled and deposits can be lost under supplier rules.

• Selected packages may offer a low deposit. Full terms are confirmed when you book
• Card payments go through secure, regulated providers
• Bank transfers must include your booking reference and arrive before the deadline

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation charges depend on airline, hotel, and visa supplier rules, how close you are to departure, and whether tickets or visas are already issued. We will explain the charges before we process anything.

Refunds are paid back to the original method where possible. Timing depends on airlines, hotels, and payment providers.

• Flight tickets are often non-refundable or carry change fees once issued
• Visa fees are usually non-refundable after submission to Saudi authorities
• Force majeure events (travel bans, natural disasters, etc.) follow supplier policy
• We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation and medical needs

Travel Documents & Health

You must arrange valid passports, Umrah visas, vaccinations, and any other documents for your journey. We guide you through the process but Saudi authorities make the final decision on visa approval.

Female pilgrims may need a mahram under current Saudi rules. Non-Canadian passport holders may need proof of Canadian residency.

• Passports should usually be valid for at least six months from your travel date
• You are responsible for being fit to travel. Speak to your GP if you have health concerns
• Travel insurance with medical cover and repatriation is strongly recommended
• Children need their own passport and visa where required

Liability & Complaints

We choose suppliers with care but are not responsible for actions by airlines, hotels, or other third parties outside our control.
